I have built a room which rocked when you entered it, because it did not touch the ground. Inside, a video showed monkeys carrying flags on which "TERE" and "HAL" (the name of the showroom) were written.

PS1 printed an advertising poster in October 1997. I wished to make it mine by making an art work of it : I would be photographed at the very moment when I jumped from the roof of the building opposite the wall on which "PS1" is written in very big letters. The photographer would have set his camera so that he had exactly the same framing as that of the 1997 poster. I prepared this jump with sponsors, stuntmen, insurance companies, photographers, etc. But in the end, we had to give up for security reasons, it was too dangerous for the art center to accept it.

TERREMOTO
EARTHQUAKE, 1994-1996-2006

   I have built an unsteady floor with big wooden boards. On top, I have put shelves and all kinds of furniture on which I have placed fragile things. Everything shook as visitors went. Some of them were afraid to knock over the things I had put on the furniture and the shelves, whereas others were very happy to be able to enjoy such unexpected liberty.
